Not too long ago, beeswax was more valuable
to the beekeeper than honey. Beeswax was used for putting
on flat belts and making candles for reading by. Now we
still use candles more often for decoration or creating a
romantic ambience. Beeswax is just as the bees made it.
They build cells of the dark wax for laying their young in,
and cells of the yellow or golden wax for storing honey.
Commercially, beeswax is used for making
cosmetics, polishes and sealing electrical components.
